Shannon Allen CEO/Founder

Shannon Allen, was born in Darlington, South Carolina. She moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina at the age of 15. Early in her life she depicted a great interest in writing poems and short stories; which prepared a platform for her to be honored as the winner of the Lieutenant Governor’s Essay Award, highlighting Uniforms In Schools. This award created a deep passion for writing that she would carry for decades to come.

 

Mrs. Allen has served in the US Army, as a Meteorological Crewmember. Upon arriving home from a medical discharge, Mrs. Allen developed skills as a store clerk, manufacturing worker, teacher’s assistant and paraprofessional. She has continued service as a Certified Senior Veteran Service Representative for 10 years. Mrs. Allen has been blessed to retire from Veterans Benefits Administration at the age 35. 

 

Shannon has become quite a wealth of knowledge and experience. Completing her high school diploma at Carver High School, was only the being for this academic trailblazer. She holds a diploma in Meteorology from the United States Army. Her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration was obtained from Winston Salem State University. She has earned a Master of Arts in Human Service Management from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Mrs. Allen has continued her education toward community advocacy, acquiring a Municipal Government Certificate from the City of Winston Salem University. She is now obtaining a Paralegal Technology diploma at Forsyth Technical Community College. Humanities have been and continues to be a passion of Mrs. Allen. 

 

She is the wife of Mr. Jimael Allen and mother to Jahshaun and Janelle Little. Mrs. Allen is an Award-Winning Author and motivational speaker. She continues to serve on a number of boards and community projects in the city of Winston-Salem.

Diane Harris CFO

As the nonprofit CFO, Ms. Harris’ responsibilities include overseeing cash flow planning, preparing and reviewing budgets and tracking operational metrics (KPIs.) She has been successful in this role, she has an in-depth knowledge of risk management methods and the ability to create forecasting models towards financial development

Jahshaun Little Financial Assistant

Jahshaun Little was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to the parents of Shannon and John Little. At the age of 5, he successfully gained knowledge for stock investment and financial literacy for kids. Jahshaun is a leader in education and a scholar of The North Carolina Leadership Academy. His first year as a student at The NCLA, he was elected to be a member of the Middle School Student Council as Treasurer. He has demonstrated integrity, exceptional bookkeeping, strong problem solving skills, time and team management skills and the dynamic attention to detail in procedures of financial development. 

 

Mr. Little is an incredible volunteer. He is active in serving for the Media Ministry at his church. He also serves as an active student with Crosby Scholars since 2021. Among his passions, he has shared an entrepreneurial passion derived from his parents. He is the CEO/Founder of Chemicals That Change, LLC. Mr. Little enjoys educating others on chemicals and the effects they have on the human body. He gained a passion for understanding chemical changes, after losing his father, John Little, to adenocarcinoma lung cancer. He is preparing for his career as a Chemical Engineer.

Elisa Wells Development Director

Lastly, she is a real estate investor that allows for purchases of various rental properties. She absolutely loves being a real estate agent and has made plans to allow Real Estate and investing as part of her retirement plan. She is honored to be part of Joyful Soul Treasures, Inc.

Dineise Gibson was born in Newark, Delaware. She relocated to Winston-Salem, NC in 2014. She is the Program Director at Quality Education Institute. Dineise is a graduate of Winston Salem State University. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Birth Through Kindergarten with a minor in Early Intervention. She is in the process of obtaining her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Leadership and Management, from The University of North Carolina Greensboro. She serves on the EDU Advisory Board for Forsyth Technical College. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her daughter, friends, and family.  

She is now serving as the Volunteer Director for Joyful Soul Treasures, Inc.

Youth HIV+ Advocate

Mr. Harris is in charge of creating and collaborating youth gatherings, activities and workshops. He will create ways for the teens to be more aware and care for the environment, their health, as well as the people around them. Mr. Harris will strategically divide teens into support groups and help them with their everyday problems. He will also attend meetings and workshops that will help them in understanding how a teenage mind works. Mr. Harris will act as big brother to most of the teens in the support groups. He serves as role models and a good influence on the teenagers for the teens to strive harder to reach their goals and be better people of the community.
